The brief for this project was to create a defined corridor with Timber Floor to Ceiling Screens, while still allowing natural light to flow through the space. The client also wanted to create a “Room within a Room” to provide a dedicated waiting area for clients.
Solid, knot and defect free Beech timber was selected for the panels, complemented by matching brassing rails to provide additional support and strength. The timber was finished with a clear, water-based lacquer, allowing the natural character of the Beech to remain visible.
For added stability, the panels were securely fixed to both the floor and ceiling.
The solid timber was carefully matched to the existing doors and frames, ensuring the new installation blended seamlessly with the original features of the space.
The finished result was both practical and visually cohesive, creating the defined spaces the client required while maintaining light flow throughout the area
